Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DevCortex (https://www.devcortexai.com), operated by MainRobin Pty Ltd ABN 65 065 335 462 ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users, including those on free and paid plans. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of Service
DevCortex is a structured requirements and traceability platform designed for agentic software engineering workflows. The Service includes:
- A web application for managing product specifications, requirements, and issues
- A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for AI agent integration
- A command-line interface (dcx) for project management
- An AI assistant for in-app requirement generation
- API access for programmatic integration
3. Accounts and Registration
To use DevCortex, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts registered by automated means or bots are not permitted.
4. Subscription Plans and Billing
4.1 Free Plan
The free plan provides limited access to the Service as described on our pricing page. Free plan limits may change at our discretion with reasonable notice.
4.2 Pro Plan
The Pro plan is billed monthly at the rate shown on our pricing page at the time of subscription. All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
4.3 Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method on a recurring monthly basis. Failure to pay may result in suspension or downgrade of your account.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods. Upon cancellation, your account will be downgraded to the free plan and projects exceeding the free plan limit will be locked (not deleted).
4.5 Refunds
We offer refunds at our discretion. To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days of a charge.
5. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all project data, requirements, specifications, and other content you create in DevCortex ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to host, store, and transmit Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
We do not use Your Content to train AI models, sell to third parties, or access it except as necessary to operate the Service or as required by law.
You are responsible for ensuring Your Content does not violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service by automated means without permission
- Resell or sublicence the Service without written authorisation
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
7. Intellectual Property
DevCortex, including its software, design, trademarks, and documentation, is owned by MainRobin Pty Ltd and protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the Service as described herein.
8. Availability and Support
We aim to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features of the Service at any time.
Support is provided via email and in-app channels on a best-effort basis. Pro plan subscribers receive priority support response.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements. Use of the Service is at your own risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, MainRobin Pty Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MainRobin Pty Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or at our discretion with 30 days notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may export Your Content prior to termination. We will retain your data for 30 days post-termination before deletion.
